Finding Accessible Hospitality in Aberdeen
Aberdeen offers a range of accessible accommodation and dining options. The city centre has seen significant modernisation, but like many Scottish cities, it also has historic buildings with varying levels of accessibility.
We recommend:
-
Using Euan's Guide (euansguide.com) - A disability access review website and app that helps locate venues with specific accessibility features
-
Checking with hotels directly about their accessibility facilities
-
Considering the hotels adjacent to P&J Live (Hilton TECA and Aloft TECA), which offer modern accessible rooms and are connected to the venue
-
Visit the VisitAberdeenshire website for more local tips and accessible attractions.
For conference activities, we have chosen venues with excellent accessibility, however some tours may not be suitable for individuals with accessibility requirements, if you have any questions on this, please contact GAC2026@abbeyconferences.com
Wheelchair Spaces
P&J Live has accessible seating in every session room. If you require specific seating arrangements, please indicate this during registration.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at the venue. At the time of registering, you will be asked if you have any accessibility requirements. Please advise us if an assistance dog will be accompanying you to the venue. We ask that the dog remains with the owner at all times.

Special Medical Needs
If you have any specific special or medical needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us prior to your visit so that we can work together to make your experience as smooth as possible at the conference.
Hidden Disabilities & Neurodiversity at the Conference
The Global Agritourism Conference is dedicated to making this a welcoming event for everyone and ensuring all attendees have the right information and tools to get the most out of the meeting.
During registration, you will be asked if there are any ways in which we can help facilitate the meeting based on your requirements. If there is anything we can provide, please let us know there or get in touch if you have ideas on how to make the conference a more inclusive space.
Hidden Disability Lanyards
Any attendees who wear a Sunflower Lanyard to indicate that they have a hidden disability are welcome to wear this instead of or in addition to their conference lanyard. Please note that the conference venue staff and our conference organising team have all received training in how best to support anyone who might need it. Please feel welcome to ask anyone wearing a Global Agritourism Conference branded t-shirt for help.

Quiet Room
There will be a designated quiet room at P&J Live for anyone who needs a space to decompress. The location of this room will be clearly marked on venue maps and signposted throughout the venue. You can also ask a member of staff to guide you.
