Please note that all ticket prices are exclusive of VAT. Standard UK VAT of 20% will be charged on each ticket. 
  • UK attendees/ exhibitors will be eligible to recover the input VAT on their own VAT returns subject to the normal VAT recovery rules.

  • Non-UK organisations which may not be registered for VAT in the UK may still be eligible to make a claim to HMRC to recover the VAT on costs associated with the event by submitting a 13th Directive claim to HMRC.

  • Additional information on submitting a 13th Directive claim can be found in HMRC Notice 723A - Refunds of UK VAT for non-UK businesses 

Terms and Conditions of Registration

 

Registration Cancellation

  • Notice of cancellation must be sent by email to GAC2026@abbeyconferences.com or in writing to Abbey Conferences, 67 Shandwick Place, Edinburgh, EH2 4SD.

  • For cancellations received before 20th March 2026 a full refund less an administration charge of £80.00 will be granted.

  • Refunds will not be granted after 20th March 2026. The organisers advise that you take out Travel Insurance to cover your costs in the event that you have to cancel. 

  • Gala dinner tickets cancelled after the 24th April 2026 will not receive a refund.

  • No‐shows will not receive a refund. 

  • Substitutions are welcome. No substitutions will be granted after Tuesday 9th June 2026.

  • Registration will only be confirmed once payment has been received, and the invoice should be settled within 14 days of issue.

  • In the unlikely case that the conference cannot be held in whole or in part due to any event beyond the Organisers’ control or force majeure (such as riot, fire, explosion, accident, flood, earthquake, sabotage, strikes, acts of law or regulation by foreign Authorities, epidemic outbreak, sanitary emergency, etc) the Event Organisers cannot be held liable for any damage, cost, or loss incurred, such as transportation and accommodation costs, or any other direct or indirect loss or consequential damage. Conference registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred or alternative arrangements offered to delegates.

  • Please allow up to 3 weeks to receive any refunds.

 

Attendees Requiring a Visa

A letter of support for visa applications can be provided for fully-paid registrations only.

Please note that refunds cannot be issued for registration fees if your visa application is delayed or rejected after April 30, 2026. Allow sufficient time for visa processing to avoid disappointment.

Liability Waiver

The organisers of the Global Agritourism Conference, including partners, sponsors, and affiliated staff, shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, damage, or theft of property, or any other liability incurred by attendees during or as a result of participation in the event.
All attendees are responsible for their own safety and security while attending the conference and any related events. We recommend that participants obtain adequate personal, travel, and health insurance where appropriate.
The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel any part of the programme without prior notice, including but not limited to, changes to speakers, venues, or timings. In the event of cancellation, liability is limited to refund of the registration fee only (after deduction of costs already incurred  by the organisers).
